Realme 8i Launch in India
Redmi 8i: A debut date for the Realme 8i India is scheduled for September 10th at 12:30 pm IST, according to a tweet shared hours before the company revealed the Realme 8s would also be unveiled on that day. The Realme 8i will be the first phone with the MediaTek Helio G96 processor in India, as the Realme 8s was the first device with the Dimensity 810 chipset.
The phone’s appearance has been revealed thanks to recently leaked renders. Realme 8 will be outfitted with these new phones. A successor to the Realme 7i, the Realme 8i comes with a 6.3-inch screen. Madhav Sheth, the founder, and CEO of Realme India and Europe, announced that the devices will arrive in the country within the next few months. Additionally, some key specifications of the smartphones have also been rumored ahead of their formal release.

Realme’s website features a microsite dedicated to the Realme 8i, which reveals some key specifications. AnTuTu scores 350,391 for the device, which has a clock speed of up to 2.05GHz, ARM Mali G57 GPU, and a clock speed of up to 2.05GHz. When reduced, the phone can go down to 1nits from its peak brightness of 600 nits. Such functionality is being offered for the first time by the company. There is speculation that the Realme 8i’s refresh rate will be 120Hz.

Realme 8i Specs
In addition to its 6.59-inch screen with FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, the Realme 8i is rumored to feature an in-display selfie camera with a punch-hole opening. According to pre-release information, this device will be equipped with a MediaTek Helio G96 processor, Mali G57 MC2 GPU, 4GB RAM, and a 128GB UFS 2.2 storage that will be expandable via microSD. It is most likely that the phone will boot the Realme UI 2.0 custom skin out of the box. There is said to be a thickness of 8.6 millimeters and a weight of 194 grams.

Realme 8i’s primary camera has a 50 MP resolution along with 2MP portrait and macro sensors on the back. Besides the 16-megapixel camera for selfies and video chatting, there will reportedly be a fingerprint sensor on the side for security. At the moment, no information has been revealed about the Realme 8i’s fast charging capabilities.

As Realme has confirmed on social media, the octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 810 will be found inside the Realme 8s 5G. 5G connectivity is included in the chipset, which upgrades Dimensity 800. Based on reports, the Realme 8s 5G should have a display size of 6.5 inches that can refresh at 90Hz. It should also feature 6GB and 8GB of RAM. The internal storage could also be used for virtual RAM support of up to 5GB, allowing for a better multitasking experience.

In addition to a 3.5mm headphone jack, the Realme 8i leaked renders also showed a USB Type-C port and an embedded fingerprint sensor. Also, the 8.6mm thick and 194g Realme 8i is said to come with a fingerprint sensor on the back.
