Will India-Pakistan Match Impact ‘Jawan’ Movie’s Earnings?
When India and Pakistan clash on the cricket field, the streets in India seem deserted. This Sunday, September 10th, marks a high-stakes match in the Asia Cup series where India faces off against Pakistan. It raises the question: Could this match affect the earnings of the movie “Jawan”?
Akshay Rathi at BollywoodLife.com, gave a straightforward answer, “I would say the collections will still be around 60 to 70 crores over the weekend. We are a nation of 1.4 billion people, and even though a significant portion of the population will be glued to the match, it won’t really impact the movie’s numbers. Additionally, we need to see if the weather plays a role in whether the game actually happens.”
Furthermore, trade expert Atul Mohan stated that the film’s box office performance is nearly unstoppable.
Producers and distributors are delighted with “Jawan” after the success of “Gadar 2.” The film is proving to be profitable for them. It is currently running in both multiplexes and single-screen theaters. As per estimates, the film has already earned around 60 crores on Saturday, bringing its total earnings to 128 crores. It has also performed well in the Middle East, grossing two million dollars on the single screen.
The star-studded cast of “Jawan” includes Shah Rukh Khan in a double role, along with Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra, Riddhi Dogra, Priyamani, Sunil Grover, Ejaz Khan, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Lahar Khan, Aliya Kuraiyshi, Girija Oak, and many other talented actors. Deepika Padukone and Sanjay Dutt make special appearances in the film.
