Despite the fact that Arch Manning’s college football scholarship pursuits may have ended, the Texas recruit continues to get attention for his high school team. In order to do that, he must break numerous records, including those established by his uncles Peyton and Eli.
In the spring of 2023, the Texas Longhorns’ top QB prospect made a commitment to play for the team the following season. However, he is a senior at Isidore Newman in New Orleans.
Manning already holds Peyton’s school record for lifetime passing yards and touchdowns, which he previously held.
With 129 career touchdowns, he set a new school record by scoring four touchdowns on 16 of 20 attempts on Friday.
Former Stanford wide receiver Jay Tyler previously held the record with 127 touchdowns as a running back, receiver, and returner.
Grace Raynor for The Athletic reported that Nelson Stewart, the coach at Newman, believed that record was unbreakable.
Arch will be able to break the record when he enrolls at UT in the upcoming season. As their season has progressed, there will be a lot of anticipation.
