Shershaah Release August 12: Siddharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani’s Movie
Shershaah release is to happen on Amazon Prime on August 12. Shershaah is made on the basis of the life of Captain Vikram Batra. He passed away facing death in the Kargil War. Later he was honored with the Param Vir Chakra posthumously.
After announcing the Shershaah release date, the director spoke a few words. Shaershaah is the story of the journey of an extraordinary man who showcased his courage and valor. The Shershaah release is a story of war, love, sacrifice, and will which is unbreakable. The movie portrays the journey of Vikram Batra who thought of something bigger even when his entire world was turned upside down. He had faith in his cause which was never lost by him.
Shershaah has been produced by Vishnuvardhan along with his directorial skills. It has been written by Deepak Surana and will be produced by Karan Johar. The movie stars Siddharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani. The film is being bankrolled by Dharma Productions, Karan Johar’s production company.
Plot & Storyline
The film stars Kiara Advani as the female protagonist Shershaah Dhariawala (Vikram Batra’s wife). Other cast members include Siddharth Malhotra.
The teaser of Shershaah was released recently online. The film is being heavily promoted by Karan Johar at several functions. The teaser is set against the backdrop of a clifftop with the graves of fallen soldiers being decorated by their loved ones.
Kiara Advani has been cast as his wife in the film as mentioned for the Shershaah release. The film story is based on India’s Kargil War hero Vikram Batra. In the film, Kiara will play the role of a simple Punjabi girl who goes on to win the heart of one of India’s bravest sons. Kiara Advani is looking forward to playing her first lead role in a film based on real-life characters.

The film was shot at real locations in Kashmir and Leh for 35 days. The cast and crew endured tough conditions while shooting there. The shoot was particularly difficult for Kiara who had to perform some difficult stunts during her shoot in Kashmir.
Shershaah release will be available on Amazon Prime Video from August 12 at Prime 15, starting at 4:30 pm The film might have its theatrical release in September. As mentioned, Shershaah will have its theatrical release in September. Its trailer was released a couple of days ago and has garnered mixed reviews.

As we mentioned above, the shooting was conducted actually in locations like Leh and Kargil as well. The main character i.e. Siddharth Malhorta faced an injury during the shoot. Several casts found it difficult to adapt to the harshness of the location. The shooting duration lasted longer because of it.

Many are happy that releasing on August 12, 2021, which is before Independence Day. On the other hand, people are not happy about an upcoming war movie being released around the clock.
