Into the night was created by Jason George for Netflix Belgium. It was adapted from a Polish book called The Old Axolotl written by Jacek Dukaj. Into the night stands out because it is Netflix’s first Belgian Original Series.

Into The Night has become so popular that Netflix even greenlighted a Turkish spin-off for Netflix Turkey, it will be called Into The Deep and will be released this year.
Into The Night: Recap
Into the night season 1 premiered on Netflix on May 1st, 2020 and it had a total of 6 episodes. Soon, Netflix renewed for a second season which was released on September 8, 2021 and it too had 6 episodes.

Each Into the night episode has an average running time of 35 to 40 minutes each. Through the span of the 12 episodes that have aired, into the night has truly unfolded twists and storylines in such a way that the show now has a cult following worldwide.
In the first season, a group of people are stranded on a red-eye flight from Brussels when their plane is hijacked. The hijacker’s name is Terenzio who is actually an Italian NATO soldier. The few people on board are now some of the survivors of a global event caused by exposure to sunlight. As soon as he boards the aircraft, he demands an early takeoff.

During daylight hours, this catastrophe kills all living organisms, so the plane heads west in an attempt to survive. Sylvie, the passenger, and Mathieu, the pilot, must keep the sun behind them by working together.
The group face more hardships during their journey when they have to face shortage of fuel, contaminated food, hidden agendas of clique politics and propaganda and numerous other obstacles in their quest to reach a military bunker which is underground.
The remaining survivors seek refuge from the sun in a NATO bunker in the second season. As they seek to survive in the bunker with the military members, they manage a burgeoning conflict and find a way to replenish the diminishing supply of resources.

Such an intriguing science fiction drama so far makes us wonder what Into the Night Season 3 would have in store for us! Into the Night Season 3 will for sure have more riveting plot twists and turns.
Into The Night Season 3 Plot
In the second season, survivors have to seek refuge in a NATO bunker in order to survive. The survivors fear the lethal rays of the sun, which is still the bane to their existence. The survivors of the apocalypse and military officers have to resort to an ally relationship in order to resolve a mounting conflict and other problems, such as depleting supplies.
The series revealed that a rat was able to survive the sunlight before season 2 ended. In the first season, Laura and Horst run an experiment in which they free the rats in order to determine whether the rats could survive the sun’s lethality. Rats that survived were covered in frozen tin cans. They hypothesize, therefore, that ice, like water, can shield you from the sun’s rays which gives them a beacon of hope for survival in this apocalypse.

Season 3 will continue the survival story if the series is renewed. Into the night season 3 will bring in more twists and challenges for our favorite characters but we can hope for the survival and also for the survival of this series.
Into The Night Season 3 Release Date
Due to the Covid19 Pandemic, Into the night season 2 got delayed so we are also expecting a delay in renewal of Into the night season 3. There was a gap of 19 months between Into the night season 1 and 2 so we are also expecting that gap to halt the renewal of Into The Night Season 3.
Our reports and sources tell us that we can expect Into The Night Season 3 to be released in late 2022 or 2023. Pauline Etienne is expected to be back as our favorite show’s main character, Sylvie Bridgette Dubois. While Laurent Capelluto and Stefano Cassetti will reprise their roles as Mathieu Daniel Douek and Terenzio Matteo Gallo respectively.
Mehmet Kurtulus will be back as Ayaz Kobanbay and also Babetida Sadjo is going to be back as Laura Djalo, in their supporting roles. Like Into The Night Season 2 had introduced a lot of new characters it is expected that we will see many more known Belgian actors in the roles of new and refreshing characters in Into the night Season 3.
