In The Dark Plot Synopsis
The story of In The Dark follows Murphy, an alcoholic blind lady in her twenties, who stumbles into the body of her buddy Tyson. While managing her colorful dating life and her terrible work as a guide dog trainer at “Guiding Hope,” she decides to solve the crime herself. Trying to discover what happened to her friend is the only thing Murphy can cling to in order to stay sane.

The police arrive at the scene, but no one is present, so they will not investigate. Murphy finds what she believes to be the dead body of her friend Tyson while out for a walk. Determined to learn what happened to her pal, Murphy sets out to discover the truth. Murphy obtains an unexpected lead in Tyson’s case after her newest one-night stand contacts her mommy. Jess takes Murphy’s help in selecting a gift for her girlfriend; Chloe believes it is time for her father to open a dating page. Murphy enlists the help of an unaware Felix in finding Tyson’s girlfriend, Kira.

As Chloe undergoes a rite of passage, Dean tries to be present for her, while Murphy and Felix have their first heartfelt conversation under the bleachers. Murphy reminisces about Tyson. Despite their differences, Joy and Jess adore each other. Murphy and Jess are in similar circumstances, but they approach them in completely different ways. In the meantime, Felix and Jess enjoy a lovely moment. As the first season draws to a close, the relationship between Murphy and Dean begins to take an unusual turn.
As fast as Murphy, Jess, and Felix can come up with a strategy, they will remain out of Nia’s sights and still save Guiding Hope. While the Guiding Hope team, Felix, Jess, and Murphy work on a strategy to hide their new “company,” Murphy receives a surprising visit. In response to Guiding Hope’s financial excess, Murphy is forced to divert her attention from Max. As Jess and Felix discuss the matter, a new employee piques Felix’s interest.

Darnell mulls over his options as Dean gets closer to the knowledge he can use against Nia. With Nia’s whole shipment gone and the Guiding Hope team pressed for time, Murphy, Jess, Felix, and Max will go to any length to find it. Meanwhile, Dean has his own plans for the missing items, while Gene pays a visit to Darnell and learns some terrible information.
As a result of Nia’s death, Murphy, Jess, Felix, and Max must make some substantial adjustments, and Josh is aware of their involvement in the greatest case of his career. Murphy, Jess, Felix, and Max go on a long and difficult trek to keep one step ahead of Josh and Clemens. We see that Murphy is alone at the bus terminal, unsure of where Jess is or what he should do.
Murphy seeks assistance from an unusual source in order to locate Jess, but when Trey has other ideas, the whole situation explodes up in their faces. When Murphy and her pals have to ride out the storm together, things get uncomfortable. Felix takes matters into his own hands as Murphy begins to spiral out of control. As Josh and Clemens close in on finding out what happened to Jess, Murphy closes in on finding out what has happened to him. Murphy ultimately discovers the truth about what happened to Jess, and it drives her to examine herself more closely.
