National Seismology Center Reports Intense 5.1 Magnitude Quake
In Manipur’s Ukhrul district, powerful tremors from an earthquake were felt. The intensity of this earthquake, measured on the Richter scale, has been recorded as 5.1. This information was shared by the National Center for Seismology (NCS). The earthquake struck on Monday night at 11:10 PM and occurred at a depth of 20 kilometers below the surface.
Earlier on Monday morning, September 11th, a 4.4 magnitude earthquake occurred in the Bay of Bengal. This quake was located 70 kilometers away. Prior to that, there was a 4.0 magnitude earthquake in Tibet’s Jizang region, which happened at 5:40 AM.
