Pacific Rim: The Black Season 1 was released on Netflix on March 4, 2021, and it had a total of 7 episodes. These episodes were approximate the running time of 21 to 29 minutes on average.
Pacific Rim: The Black Season 1 starts off directly in the future, a few years after the events of the last Pacific Rim movie, Pacific Rim: Uprising. New monsters called Kaiju have arisen from the Pacific Rim and the mortals of the continent of Australia are in dire danger because of this.

To combat these monstrous beings, humans have developed robot fighters who are giants and can match up the Kaiju’s destructive forces through their technology and armor. Hayley and Taylor’s parents were fighters who went missing while trying to fight the Kaijus.
Five years after the tragic event of their parents going missing, Hayley and Taylor discover Atlas Destroyer which is a forsaken Jaeger that was used for training purposes. Hayley and Taylor try to reactivate the Atlas Destroyer and finally embark on a quest to rescue their mother and father.
In the last episode of Pacific Rim: The Black Season 1 we see Hayley and Taylor come across an abandoned city where they find the remains of their parents’ mech. Hayley and Taylor find hope when they find a video recording of their parents that explains their whereabouts and their plans to go to Sydney.

Hayley and Taylor discover the Hunter Vertigo in Pacific Rim: The Black season 1 but not their parents. The story of Mei, whose experiences aboard the Atlas Destroyer’s neural handshake drifts reveal her dark past, will certainly be addressed in future episodes.

However, there’s still a lingering mystery concerning the Kaiju boy in the Netflix series. Several sources have indicated that he may very well have been created by the Precursors, a race of aliens. The first season of Pacific Rim: The Black ends with a mysterious hooded woman announcing the boy as the Kaiju Messiah.
Loa’s technical meltdown within the Jaeger Horizon Bravo will need to be addressed in Pacific Rim: The Black season 2.
