Apocalyptic horror movie about a virus outbreak. Who knew we would see a live-action version of the movie 14 years later? 28 Weeks Later is one example of such a movie. 28 Weeks Later tells the story of a family’s desperate survival attempts during the Rage virus epidemic in England.
The only survivors of the outbreak are Don and Alice, hiding in a cottage in the London area. Many survivors have been affected by the infected. A boy knocks at their doors. Alice, being the kind and compassionate person that she is, allows him in. It turns out, several infected persons have followed the boy to his cottage.

All the survivors are killed while Alice, Don and the boy run upstairs. Don asks Alice to let the boy go, but she is determined that he will be protected. Don flees the scene to save his life. He sees Alice being taken away by the infected right before his eyes. Jacob drives Don’s boat and helps him escape. Don escapes after Don falls into the water.

The storyboard ending to 28 Weeks Later is the most disturbing in terms of emotional impact and narrative. It presents a conclusion that is too harsh for the protagonist. Boyle and Alex Garland tried to eliminate the soldiers from the storyboards. They voiced the illustrated storyboards that pick up after Frank (Brendan Gleeson), who is infected with a single drop.
As indicated in the radio broadcast, Frank is not shot immediately by soldiers, but is instead tied and bound to Jim. The trio stumble upon a medical research facility near Manchester that appears to be an animal testing laboratory. The trio decides to camp there and stake out the area.

It is not clear what will happen to the children. Although it is possible they survived, Andy is responsible for spreading the virus to the mainland because he is an asymptomatic bearer of the virus.

General Stone orders a quarantine of the entire building. But that does not suffice to stop the infected. Stone orders District One be firebombed. However, Don and several other infected individuals manage to escape. Scarlet decides that the children should be saved, as the DNA of the victims might offer a cure. Doyle is also informed.
Flynn arrives in a helicopter to rescue Doyle. Flynn decides to rescue Doyle, but he won’t take anyone else. Doyle realizes that everyone needs to be saved. He and Scarlet, Tammy, and Andy begin their journey to Wembley Stadium. They get on a car that won’t start and they leave it there. Doyle jumps on and pushes the car to start, but he is killed in the process. The trio of remaining passengers reach the London Underground and decide to walk the remainder of the journey. Don then appears and kills Scarlett off. Andy is then bitten by him.

Tammy gets a gun and shoots Andy before he can kill him. Andy is now a mysterious Rage virus-asymptomatic patient. They reach Wembley, where they are picked up by Flynn, who is reluctant to let them go. Flynn takes the children across the English Channel to France, following Doyle’s instructions. The movie cuts to 28 days later when we hear a voice calling for help from the abandoned helicopter. The virus is then spread to the rest of Europe by infecting large numbers of people running through Paris.
